Department of Behavioral Sciences
The department of Social and Behavioral Sciences prepares students to pursue majors in the fields of sociology and psychology in four-year colleges through completion of academic transfer courses. As part of the core curriculum for all degree-seeking students, the department also supports the general education mission. The department offers a variety of courses in both disciplines that are designed to help students gain personal insight into their own motives, personalities, and social influences and to formulate and reach personal life goals including those in the areas of marriage, parenting, employment.
