Pressey Included on Cavaliers’ Summer League Team

PRESSEY INCLUDED ON CAVALIERS’ SUMMER LEAGUE TEAM

LAS VEGAS, Nv. — Free agent guard Matt Pressey (Navarro / Missouri) got a chance to impress Cleveland Cavaliers officials July 13-22 when the former NJCAA All-American was added to NBA team’s summer league roster.

Pressey, the son of Cavaliers’ assistant coach Paul Pressey, tried during a five-game series to earn an invitation to training camp and perhaps join the team.  The Cleveland team went 3-2 during its nine-day Las Vegas Summer League play.

The Cavaliers’ 14-member summer roster also included drafted rookies Dion Waiters (Syracuse) and Tyler Zeller (North Carolina) and second-year players Kyrie Irving (Duke) and Tristan Thompson (Texas).  Others getting looks included Notre Dame’s Luke Harangody, Texas A&M’s Donald Sloan, and Louisville’s Samardo Samuels.
