The bags are packed, and the team buses from north-central Texas and central Mississippi will begin rolling into Bryan-College Station Thursday early afternoon in advance of the second annual Brazos Valley Bowl.
The game is set for Saturday at Noon at Merrill Green Stadium, and will feature the 16th ranked Navarro Bulldogs and the 14th ranked Hinds Community College Eagles of Ryamond, Ms.
Thursday night will start with the annual “Welcome Banquet”, where the teams will meet each other for the first time. This year, the banquet and dinner will be available to fans and the general public wishing to participate in the evening activities. The dinner is set for 7pm at the Benthancourt Ballroom located in the Memorial Student Center on Texas A&M’s campus.
Tickets are $30 each, and can be purchased up to 4pm by contacting Kindra Fry at the B/CSConvention and Visitors Bureau at 979-260-9898.
Friday, the teams will have some time to explore Aggieland, and will kick off practices after lunch. Navarro will practice at 1pm, while Hinds will hit the field at 4:15. Both teams will be practicing at the McFerrin Athletic Center, the same indoor facility on Texas A&M’s campus that the Aggies use for indoor practices.
Game time will roll around Saturday morning, and fans will be able to purchase tickets to thegame even up to kickoff time. Tickets are $5 for adults, and students 18 and under can get in free. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the CVB at 979-260-9898.
The game will be broadcast in Bryan-College Station by the CW8-Aggieland for television, and on radio by 1150AM The Zone.
