Preseason Soccer Poll pegs Navarro at No. 2

COLORADO SPRINGS, Col — It looks like coach Debbie Bonner’s Navarro Bulldogs are picking up right where they finished the 2013 season.

The NJCAA Division I  runners-up begin the 2014 season ranked as the No. 2 team in the land behind the Iowa Western squad that won the 2013 national title in Florida.

Navarro will learn about itself early — and often– during the course of the 2014 season.  NC opens its season Saturday, August 23 at Region V champion Cisco.  Then on the weekend of August 30-31, the Bulldogs travel to Cheyenne, Wy., to face No. 3 Butler CC, Ks., and No. 4 Laramie County Community College.  Their schedule is also laced with landmines, including  home-and-home matches against sixth-ranked Division III power Richland, home-and-home conference matches against No. 13 Tyler, and a rematch with No. 6 Eastern Florida State College at Melbourne, Fla.
