Sophomore quarterback Carson Earp and defensive lineman Stephan Randall signed national letters of intent during the weekend and raised Navarro’s number to six during the mid-term junior college signing period.
Earp, an honorable mention All-SWJCFC quarterback, will attend Lamar University and play for Dr. Ray Woodard’s Cardinals. Earp was 148-249-2011-19 passing and rushed 72-477-7 for Navarro in 2014. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Randall signed an NLI to attend Missouri Southern State University and play for the Lions. The Joplin, Mo., school is a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
Four other Bulldog sophomores signed with four-year programs Wednesday, the first day of the mid-term junior college signing period.
Sophomore running back Ke’Aun Kinner signed with The University of Kansas.
Sophomore defensive end Quincy Vasser and offensive tackle Tristan Nickelson signed with The University of Texas.
Sophomore tight end Devin Doggett inked a letter to attend Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, and play for the Mustangs of the Lone Star Conference.
More players are expected to sign later during the period. Still others may be attending spring semester classes and finishing up coursework at Navarro.
