DAYTONA, Fla. — Navarro Cheer scored a 97.55 Friday and finished second in Coed Cheer Division II at the NCA-NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship.
TVCC snapped Navarro’s run of seven straight national titles by scoring a 98.50 Friday to follow up Thursday’s preliminary of 97.98.
Young Harris College of Georgia finished third (91.60), followed by Lindenwood University of St. Charles, Mo., (91.45), Columbus State University of Columbus, Ga., (90.63), Tarleton State University of Stephenville, Tx. (87.80), San Francisco State University (87.50), and Garden City CC, Ks., (81.95).
Navarro Cheer, which has won 12 national title since 2000, finished Thursday’s preliminary competitions with a 94.53 score in the eight-team Coed Cheer Division II.
Friday’s finals outcomes mirrored the order of finish from Thursday’s prelims. Young Harris College stood third at 93.15. The other Friday qualifiers were: (4) Lindenwood, 92.88; (5) Columbus State, 91.03; (6) Tarleton State, 88.98; (7) San Francisco State, 86.43; and (8) Garden City CC, 81.48.
