
06 Nov Unbeatens Navarro, Hill tangle Tuesday at Hillsboro
HILLSBORO — Unbeatens Navarro and Hill renew their neighboring-county rival Tuesday as the Bulldogs travel west of Highway 22 for their first road game of the season.
Coach Michael Landers’ Bulldogs posted back-to-back, season-opening wins at home this weekend. Navarro, featuring returning sophomore Emmanuel Egbuta with a mostly freshman cast, came through with an 84-60 Friday victory over Creating Young Minds (CYM) Academy of Irving. The Bulldogs followed it up Saturday with a 102-101 overtime win over Lone Star-Cy Fair’s Falcons.

Coach Swede Trenkle’s Rebels will be playing their home opener at the Bob Bullock Sports Center. Hill scored wins of 83-64 Friday over Houston Community College and 127-89 Saturday over El Centro College at the McLennan Classic in Waco.
Tuesday’s Navarro-Hill matchup is scheduled for a 7 pm tipoff. Hill returns the favor by playing in Corsicana November 20.
The Bulldogs will return home to host the two-day Lewis Orr Classic that begins on Friday at the K. and Ida Wolens Special Events Center.
In the Orr Classic, Navarro face Fort Hood at 7 pm Friday and El Centro at 3 pm Saturday
