LINDALE — Razor-close polls released Friday at SWJCFC Media Day put the Navarro Bulldogs in July as a contender for the league’s post-season tournament.
The SWJCFC’s eight head coaches picked Navarro second with two-first place ballots and 49 total points. Meanwhile, 11 voting members of the media selected the Bulldogs fourth with two first-place ballots and 63 points.
A total of three points separate the predicted top four by the coaches. A total of 11 points separate a projected qualifying final four from media members. The spreads indicate from both voting groups that the league race will be a battle for a third straight season.
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M was selected as the league’s No. 1 team by coaches and media members.
