Jessica Karenke-Burke has led Bulldog softball to 6 Region XIV Conference Championship titles and 12 post-season tournament appearances as she enters her 14th season with the program.
Karenke-Burke now holds the most all-time coaching victories in Navarro softball history and her overall coaching record entering the 2015 spring semester stands at 463-239 (.660). Region XIV named her and assistant Courtney Anderson as the league’s ‘Coaching Staff Of The Year’ in 2011 and 2014.
During her career at NC, coach Karenke-Burke has coached 10 NJCAA All-Americans, 71 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Midwest Region Honorees, 2 Region XIV Players of the Year and several All-Region selections.
Karenke-Burke served here as an assistant (2000-2001) before being elevated to head coach in 2002. Before arriving at Navarro, Karenke-Burke served as an assistant coach at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos (1999-2000) and, prior, as a student assistant coach at Texas Tech University (1998-1999).
The 1999 Texas Tech University graduate was a three-year letterwinner for the Red Raiders, and a one-year letter winner for Lincoln Junior College in Lincoln, Ill.
She receives support and encouragement from her husband, John, and two children, Micah and Brinly. Karenke-Burke attended United Township High School in East Moline, Ill., where her parents, Gary and Carole Karenke, still reside.
