A: YES. The First Year Experience Orientation program is required for all incoming freshman to graduate. Beau Camp, however, provides the most complete academic advising and an outstanding way to familiarize yourself with the campus and meet other new students like yourself. Before you register for classes, you will need to be advised on appropriate courses to take. Campus statistics show that students who attend Beau Camp have higher grade point averages, are less likely to be on academic probation, and are likely to graduate sooner. Freshmen register for classes at Beau Camp. In addition, parents/family cannot attend Beau Camp in place of a student attending. It is important for the student to learn first-hand the information and expectations of Navarro College.

They will understand the process of becoming a successful student much quicker than their peers.
