Thank you for your interest in the Navarro College Police Academy. Navarro College Police Academy provides comprehensive, professional training that prepares you for entry into the law enforcement field. Our training encompasses all the mandated topics required by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement for the Basic Peace Officer Course as well as certification in OC Spray, Taser, and Baton.

Navarro College currently operates police academies in multiple locations which includes the Corsicana, Waxahachie, and Fairfield campuses. We provide full-time academy schedules that generally run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additionally, we seek to accommodate the working person by providing part-time (evening) academics from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday nights. The day academies are approximately 17 weeks in length and the night academies are approximately 36 weeks in length.

Some instructional modules may require the cadet to travel to another campus or location for part or all of the specialized instructional modules. Additionally, there are written assignments outside of the classroom that will need to be completed.

Navarro College provides financial aid for many students. The aid encompasses everything from grants to student loans with great terms. Financial aid is just one method of paying your tuition. You may also pay with cash, personal check, cashier’s check, money order or credit card. If you currently hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher, you would not be eligible for financial aid.

For more information about the program’s tuition and fees, supplies, and other expenses, download a copy of the Prospective Student letter from the Police Academy Coordinator, Alan Eddins.
