Scholarships are private monies that are made available to students from various local community groups, corporate donors, and the College. They are forms of gift aid that does not need to be repaid or earned through employment.
Backed by a supportive community and generous alumni and friends, Navarro College is able to offer students a variety of scholarships. Due to differing requirements, expectations, and award amounts, please contact the Navarro College Foundation for more specific information with regard to a particular scholarship. By signing and accepting a scholarship, you are entering into a contract. Make sure you understand your responsibilities before you sign your scholarship.
Have you been awarded a scholarship through a source other than Navarro College or the Navarro College Foundation? Here’s what you need to do:
By filling out just one application, you will be considered for all Navarro College Foundation Scholarships and Navarro College Scholarships for which you qualify. Navarro College offers nearly 75 scholarships, which full-time and part-time students can apply for each year to help pay for tuition and textbooks. Scholarships are available for students in all majors, and vary in the amount awarded.
Please complete the FAFSA. It is highly recommended that all students applying for a scholarship complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aide) or the TAFSA (Texas Application for State Aide).
Note: Students must reapply each academic year, beginning in February to be considered for any scholarships. To reapply, sign in with your NC email and scholarship password you used to create the account.
The M.C. and Mattie Caston General and Distinguished Scholarship Application is now available through the online scholarship portal (see How to apply for a Scholarship Online for instructions). This scholarship is for students graduating high school.
The M.C. and Mattie General and Distinguished Scholarship application is for outstanding Navarro College students who meet specific academic and leadership criteria. Both scholarships can be retained for two years, contingent upon the recipient’s meeting the established criteria. Application deadline: April 3, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
Navarro College offers a unique opportunity for students who are high-achieving graduates of Navarro College and transferring to a 4-year university. The M.C. and Mattie Graduate Caston Scholarship application is for outstanding Navarro College graduates who present definite plans for continuing his/her study at a four-year college or university. Selection is competitive and awards are presented annually at spring commencement activities. Application deadline: March 16, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
