Bio:
Shellie O'Neal has been the Director of Theatre at Navarro College for the past five years. Prior to her time at Navarro, Dr. O'Neal taught for three years at The University of Texas at Tyler as a full-time instructor. She received her Associate's degree from Panola College, her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from The University of Texas at Tyler, and her Ph.D. from Louisiana State University. She is a member of Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Her hobbies are travelling, singing, acting, playwriting, kayaking, hiking, gardening, and reading. She is the sponsor of Delta Psi Omega, Navarro's Theatre Club, and she is a member of the choir and the vestry at St. John's Episcopal Church in Corsicana. Dr. O'Neal teaches all the theatre courses offered at Navarro, which include Acting I and Acting II, Introduction to Theatre, The Development of the Motion Picture, Stage Makeup, Theatre Practicum, and Voice for Theatre.
