Eligibility for Financial Aid
To be eligible for financial aid, a student must meet all of the following qualifications:
- Be a student in good standing and maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
- Not be in default on any federally insured or guaranteed student loan and not owe a refund on a grant.
- Not owe a refund due to overpayment on financial aid funds previously received for attendance at any school.
- Be enrolled on at least a half-time basis (generally, 6 credit hours) for most grants, loans, and work-study, and on a full-time (generally, 12 credit hours) basis for most scholarships.
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- Comply with Selective Service Registration Requirements - (Federal law specifies that those who are required to do so register with the Selective Service to be eligible to receive Federal financial aid).
- Have a high school diploma or GED certificate.
