Eligibility Requirements

Incoming freshman wishing to apply to the Navarro College Honors Program should have at least a 3.5 high school GPA and be named in the Top 10% of their graduating class. Also, current college students or transfer students are eligible who have at least a 3.25 GPA and are classified as full-time. A minimum of 15 credit hours must be maintained with a 3.25 GPA or higher each semester to graduate with Honors distinction. Lastly, a minimum of 15 hours per year of community service is required.

A completed application must be submitted with the above information, along with any college transcripts that apply, an essay of intent, and a letter of recommendation from a high school or college level instructor. Practically speaking, it’s for those students who are serious about learning and who have demonstrated that by their earlier work. This program is offered to only those students who will be housed on the Corsicana campus.
