Register your property
Marking your valuables is a big theft deterrent to the casual thief. When you don’t register your valuables you are giving your money away!
When checking into Residence halls please take a moment and inventory your items. You can also get your things engraved at Campus Police.
Do yourself a favor! Write your name and ID in the cover of your books. Books are cash in hand for a thief. If you write your name and ID in it, the book buyer at the book store will watch out for your books if alerted by NCDPS. In order for this to work, you have to report to NCDPS that your book(s) have been stolen. Hey it’s better to be safe than sorry!
