Resident Advisors (RA's) are returning residents selected for their leadership ability and sensitivity to the needs of other students. RA's are assigned to a residence hall and they cooperate with the staff of other halls to help insure a quality environment. Their primary duty is to assist students and to foster a strong sense of community. They are committed to helping with academic or personal problems and adjustments to group living. RA's are responsible for enforcing residence hall policies and directives of the area supervisors. RA's have scheduled times when they are on duty throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming a resident advisor, you must have a minimum 2.5 G.P.A.; a good conduct record; and have demonstrated maturity, responsibility, and the ability to communicate well with individuals and groups. For more information, see your area supervisor or the staff in the Residence Life Office.
