Is there a list or card catalog of all the Navarro College Archives collections?

A list of collections within the Pearce Civil War Collection is available online and in the Archives. At this time we do not a directory to other collections in the Archives.

Are all Navarro College Archives collections available onsite? Can I expect to see the collections I am interested in when I come in?

All collections are available onsite; however, due to staff limitations appointments are required to view materials. Visitors without appointments may not be able to view the collections.

Do Navarro College Archives collections circulate? Are collections available on microfilm or through interlibrary loan?

Materials from the Archives are not available on microfilm or through interlibrary loan.

What if I am not in a location convenient to do research in person at Navarro College? Can staff do my research for me for a fee? How much research can I expect by e-mail, mail, or phone? How long should I expect to wait for a response to
e-mail, mail, or phone research requests?

Contact the archivist and describe the research you need to have done. Small photocopy requests or quick searches through the collection for specific items can be done within a few weeks (usually 28 days). However, for larger requests you must come to Navarro or hire an independent researcher.

Can I access full-text Civil War documents from the Navarro College Archives website?

Only a few full-text Civil War documents are available from this website. Links to the text of documents are available from full-text index page.
