2015 Brilliance Scholarship Graduates Named

Navarro College names Brilliance graduates

Navarro College named its 2015 Brilliance scholarship graduates Saturday during commencement.
Presented below are biographies of both graduates:

AmyAmy Seatherton

Amy lives in Waxahachie and attends the Waxahachie campus.

“Amy is an excellent student who always seems to strive for the best grade possible. As an instructor, I found Amy to be independent and creative in her thinking and a very willing and capable contributor in class.”

“Perhaps what is most impressive about this extraordinary young woman is her exceptional time management and organizational skills. Amy balances these leadership responsibilities as a single mother of three children while working two part-time jobs. Despite these varied and disparate responsibilities, Amy maintains a high GPA.”

While at the Waxahachie campus, Amy was a:

Vice-President for Region III of the Texas Junior College Student Government Association (TJCSGA
Secretary of the Beta Upsilon Chi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa

Dean’s List Fall 2014

Amy is graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.78 GPA and will be pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Arlington in Accounting with an objective to become a Certified Public Accountant.

ArthurArthur Vanderkar

Arthur lives in Midlothian and attend the Midlothian campus.

Arthur is graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.84 GPA and will be pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Tarleton State University working toward an MBA.
