The Navarro College Board of Trustees appointed K.C. Wyatt Thursday to assume the unexpired term Lloyd Huffman held for Place 7 at large.
Huffman served the Navarro College Board of Trustees with distinction and tragically passed away earlier this year in a fatal automobile accident.
Wyatt will be sworn in Aug. 30 by Judge James Lagomarsino during the monthly Board of Trustees regular meeting.

“We are thrilled to have Mr. Wyatt join our efforts at Navarro College,” said Board Chairman Phil Judson. “He brings with him a love for Navarro College and many years of building Corsicana and Navarro County through his involvement in civic work in our community. He is a man of action and a man of integrity and will serve this office well.”

Wyatt retired earlier this year from Community National Bank & Trust of Texas as CEO. He had worked for Community National for 29 years and worked in banking for 42 years. He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Board for Community National Bank & Trust of Texas.

Wyatt currently serves on the following Boards: Navarro Community Foundation, Community National Bank & Trust of Texas, Navarro County Exposition Center, Navarro College Foundation, Corsicana Education Foundation, and Navarro County Hospital Foundation. He has served with many other boards and organizations over the years. Wyatt is a Navarro College alumni and has been recognized in the past as the Navarro College Alumnus of the Year.
