The Pearce Museum at Navarro College is pleased to announce the upcoming art exhibit entitled Connect : Collaborate | Navarro College Art Faculty Show, on view in the Pearce’s Western Art Gallery September 1 – 23, 2016. The exhibition, titled “Connect : Collaborate” will feature video, sculpture, painting, fiber, works on paper, and photography by the following Navarro College Art Faculty: Jennifer Leigh Jones, Jon Boles, Ayman Alamoudi, Jennifer Paden, Leah Lawless-Smith, and Chesley Antoinette Williams. These amazing professionals not only provide students with a firm foundation from which to devleop their own artistic pursuits, but they are also well-respected creators in the art field. “It has been a joy to work with Navarro College’s Art Department,” said Cory Anne Hurless, curator of the Pearce Museum, “and it has been a glorious surprise to see the breadth and depth of the artistic production that this remarkable collection of artists produce. I am excited to present their work to everyone in Corsicana and the academic community.”
There will be an opening reception for the artists held at the Pearce Museum at Navarro College on the evening of Thursday September 8, from 6-9pm. For this special event, admission will be free and open to the public.
