Navarro College Professor Dennis Hawk receives League for Innovation Award

John E. and Suanne D. Roueche Excellence Awards are given to faculty in League for Innovation in the Community College member institutions to celebrate outstanding contributions and leadership by community college faculty and staff. Recipients are recognized in a series of activities and promotions, and honored at special events at the League’s Innovations Conference each spring. Dennis Hawk was chosen for the Excellence Award because he is an exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled instructor who inspires students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn. Mr. Hawk is a devoted instructor who find creative ways to make Physics accessible to their students utilizing best practices in the field. During his 25 years of service to Navarro College, Mr. Hawk has earned the respect and admiration of students, faculty, and administrators due to his dedication to students.

I, along with my colleagues, did not enter this profession for awards.
