Navarro College to hold pinning ceremony for 73 Vocational Nursing Program graduates on Friday, August 7th

On Friday, August 7, the Vocational Nursing program will hold a special ceremony concurrent with graduation to recognize graduates at which nurses welcome new nurses into the profession. The Pinning Ceremony is designed to be symbolic and traditional and pays homage to the highly respected field of nursing and the special kind of graduate it takes to fill the shoes of a nurse. Students receiving pins will become part of history – both of the legacy of the respected local nursing programs and of the tradition of the nursing pin, a 1,000 year-old symbol of service to others.

The pins that the graduates receive are symbols and traditions shared by Navarro College Vocational Nursing Program alumni and nurses across the country. Many of these nurses wear the pins on their uniforms throughout their careers.

Navarro College will host a commencement and pinning ceremony for 73 graduates of the Licensed Vocational Nursing program at 7 p.m., Friday, August 7 at the Wolens Special Events Center on the Corsicana Campus.

Congratulations to our wonderful Class of 2015 Vocational Nursing students! We are so proud of you all!
