On a romantic New Year’s Eve, three guests share a common balcony at the Hotel Cortez in Galveston Texas. All three guests are there to celebrate the New Year and await the arrival of visitors. Chris waits for his acting partner, Roxanne, to rehearse their scene for an upcoming performance of Cyrano de Bergerac. The Canary sisters have come to see the local production of Cyrano. Terry has come to commiserate the anniversary of his divorce. Sydnee, his daughter, has come to introduce her new boyfriend, Victor, to her father. All are in for a surprise as they saunter out onto the balcony at the Cortez. The balcony is the domain of playwrights and famous characters and something magic is in the air on New Year’s Eve at the Hotel Cortez.
