Spotlight on Johnathan Bailey
Sophomore student, Johnathan Bailey is definitely leaving his mark at Navarro College. After several weeks of campaigning, interviewing, and voting, he was named Mr. Navarro College for the 2006-2007 school year.
The Rice High School graduate is a chemistry major with a grade point average of 3.84. He is currently the Head Coordinator of the Dawg Diplomat Club, and is also the Vice-president of Beauregard's Bodyguards. Johnathan is also involved in the Navarro College Theater Department and in the honor society, Phi Theta Kappa. At the State Theater competition Johnathan received awards for Critic's Choice for Superior Set Design and Director's Choice for Superior Production Assistant. In addition to all of these responsibilities, Johnathan is a tutor in the Navarro College tutorial lab. Johnathan participated in an internship at Texas A&M Commerce last summer where he researched in organic chemistry laboratory for 10 weeks. This internship peeked his interest in attending Texas A&M Commerce so once he graduates from Navarro College, he has plans to transfer to Texas A&M Commerce where he will complete his Bachelor's in Science in Chemistry.
