What is the THEA Quick Test, and what skills are covered in the test?
The THEA Quick Test is a paper-and-pencil test which measures skills in reading, mathematics and writing (including an essay). Each section of the THEA Quick Test is designed to measure your academic skill against an established standard of competence. Your score on each section of the test is based on your performance in relation to the skills being tested. Scores are not related to how well other students have performed on the same section. The THEA Quick Test is the same as the regular THEA, the only difference is the registration procedure—you don’t have to wait for one of the Saturday state-wide tests (that’s the “quick” part)—receiving scores after the test is submitted is not necessarily “quicker.”

How do I register for the THEA Quick Test at Navarro College?
The THEA Quick Test is administered on an appointment basis on the Corsicana campus only. Appointment times are Mondays through Fridays at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. as well as a 1:30 p.m. on Thursdays only. Keep in mind that the THEA Quick Test can only be taken once every 30 days.

How much will it cost me?
The THEA Quick Test fee is $29.00, paid directly to the testing company, for Navarro College and TAMU Commerce students. The THEA Quick Test fee is to be paid at the Testing Center as the fees are submitted along with your test. The $29.00 may be paid by credit/debit (MasterCard & Visa), or personal check or money order made payable to Evaluation Systems. No cash is accepted for the $29.00 fee. An additional $25.00 administration fee is assessed for non Navarro College or TAMU Commerce students. The $25.00 administration fee is to be paid at the Cashier’s Office the day of the test.

How long does the test take to complete?
