Medical Coding
The Medical Office Coding & Transcription Certificate is offered through the Business Information Technology Department and includes 38 college credit hours. This three-semester certificate includes courses and training to prepare students to become certified medical coders. Coders are employed by hospitals, clinics, physicians' offices, mental health care facilities, nursing homes, insurance companies, consulting firms and are often self employed.

Students must complete all courses with a final grade of "C" or higher in order to progress in this certificate program.
