HOUSTON — Sophomore outfielder Miranda Worthington was named as a first-team selection to the All-Region XIV Softball team.
She was Navarro’s only selection on the squad, which was announced during the league’s recently concluded tournament.
Worthington led Navarro with 15 home runs, 53 runs-batted-in and stole 18 of 20 bases. She had a slash line of .424/.519/.768 in 51 games for the Bulldogs this year.
During her 115-game, two-year career, she hit 26 home runs, drove in 106, and had an 86% stolen base success rate (24/28) for a program that went 71-44, qualified for the Region XIV Tournament twice and for the NJCAA Championship at St. George, Ut., in 2015. In two seasons here, she also was hit by pitches a total of 46 times — 32 during 2015.
