FOLEY, Ala. — Good thing happen for those who wait.
Navarro Soccer waited a week and a weekend through the outcomes of eight NJCAA District Tournaments. The 14-2-1 team that had not been ranked lower than five during the regular season of either NJCAA or United Soccer Coaches polls began to wonder if it would measure up to the test.
Monday morning, coach Alicia Wilson’s Bulldogs found out they were awarded The At-Large District Bid No. 1 and advanced to the national tournament. The trip will be the program’s eighth, and the first under Wilson.
Navarro will be seeded sixth overall and will compete in Pool C with third-seeded Iowa Western and 10th-seeded Paradise Valley.
