Koeppen, Woolley named to NFCA All-Midwest Team

Two rising sophomores from coach Jessica Karenke-Burke’s Navarro Bulldogs softball team were selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Midwest Region Honor Teams.

Third baseman Sarah Koeppen earned first-team recognition, and outfielder Jada Woolley claimed second-team honors.

Koeppen and Woolley led Navarro in most individual offensive statistical categories during the 2019 spring season.

Koeppen, with a .444/.506/.863 slash line, hit a team-high 18 home runs and led the club in runs-batted-in (58), runs scored (53), total bases (132), extra-base hits (28) and walks (18).

Woolley, who earned an NJCAA Player of the Week award, slugged 11 home runs, drove in 41 runs and scored 32. She was second on the Bulldogs in total bases (103), extra-base hits (23), and walks (11).

The NFCA Midwest Team is dominated by Region XIV players
