Beau, as he is affectionately known, loves to visit his Bulldog family and would welcome the opportunity to consider your appearance request.
As much as Beau needs his rest, to have a role on campus, and to play, he simply cannot
be everywhere, all the time. So before making your request, please review the terms
and conditions below. A member of the Marketing team will follow up within five (5)
business days of receiving your request.
1. Requests must be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the event.
(Please note: The further in advance the request is made, the more likely Beau will
be available.)
2. Incomplete requests cannot be approved.
3. All requests are subject to the approval of Navarro College who reserves the right to refuse for any reason.
4. Most appearances will be limited to one (1) hour or less. This is for Beau’s wellbeing and due to a very demanding schedule.
5. Beau cannot appear at outdoor events during inclement weather, which includes significantly hot and cold temperatures. You will be notified ASAP should the decision to cancel Beau's appearance, due to weather, be made.
6. Navarro College reserves the right to cancel an appearance without penalty due
to illness, personal emergency, schedule conflicts, etc.
7. The requestor is responsible for notifying guests with pet allergies of Beau's appearance time and location in advance of appearance date.
Beau will be most likely to participate in events and activities that advance the
Navarro College mission, including the following but not limited to:
-
High-profile College events (such as prospective student events including Orientation and Early Registration, campaign events, and alumni/donor events).
-
Events requested by Navarro College’s District President.
-
Navarro College athletic events, including home football and basketball games.
-
College spirit events including pep rallies and Homecoming.
-
Events requested by official mascot sponsors.
-
Special requests by members of the campus community.
All other requests will be evaluated on a request-by-request basis.

Beau's physical and mental well-being are priorities for Navarro College. During Beau's
requested appearance, please follow the basic mascot care:
-
Please have at least two (2) bottles of water on hand for the mascot.
-
Please advise guests/students not to pull on the tail, head, feet an hands or hit the mascot. High-fives and side hugs are always welcomed.
-
Please speak in a calm, reassuring tone. Let Beau sniff your hand if he wants to, then gently pet him.
-
Placing certain items of clothing or props on Beau upsets him. As a rule, only Beau's handler should dress up or accessorize him as appropriate.
-
Please have a friendly and safe environment for the mascot and his handler. Both reserve the right to walk away from any appearance deemed unsafe or harmful.
-
Most of all, have fun, because Beau will!
