“Last year’s Legacy: A New Voice was an exciting event which drew a lot of attention so we are thrilled about this year’s event which promises to be just as phenomenal.  The food is fantastic, the entertainment is amazing, and in addition to all of the fun, we get to help students meet their dreams of obtaining a college education, whether it is through dual credit, online courses, CTE or academic classes,” stated Christina Mims, Navarro College Mexia Campus Dean. “I so appreciate the support of our communities and love seeing the tri-county area come together for this event.”

The Navarro College Foundation is dedicated to assisting students in furthering their education by providing financial assistance through scholarships and improvements in classroom technology and innovations through teaching innovation awards. From financial support received through Legacy-A New Voice, and other community based fundraising events, last year the Navarro College Foundation awarded approximately $400,000 in scholarships district-wide. “Funds raised from Legacy will benefit local students and local Navarro College Faculty and further the mission of both the Foundation and Navarro College,” says Dr. Harold Housley, V.P. of Institutional Advancement and Operations. “The singers have worked hard to prepare for this year’s event and we are confident the show will be spectacular.”
