Inclement Weather Plan for the 2020 & 2021 Ceremony

In the event of the inclement weather, an official announcement will be made on Monday, May 10, 2021. Please check back on this web page for the latest update.
In the event of inclement weather, the 2020 & 2021 Commencement Ceremony will be relocated to the Special Events Center (SEC) and split into seven (7) ceremonies programs and will require a ticket for entrance. The SEC building is located on the Navarro College-Corsicana Campus, 3200 West 7thAvenue. Corsicana, Texas 75110. See Campus Map.
For planning purposes, each ceremony is split by academic program as listed below.

|Ceremony #5: Associates of Arts & Associate of Arts in Teaching Graduates||Friday, May 14 at 9:00 am|
|Ceremony #6: Associate of Science Graduates By Last Name (A-K)||Friday, May 14 at 1:30 pm|
|Ceremony #7: Associate of Science Graduates By Last Name (L-Z)||Friday, May 14 at 4:00 pm|
Tickets are required for Inclement Weather Ceremonies. Each graduate will receive 8 tickets for family and guests. Extra tickets will be available at the door until maximum capacity has filled the venue. After capacity has been reached, there will be two locations for overflow in the Leighton B. Dawson Auditorium and Cook Education Center. The ceremony will also be live online at live.navarrocollege.edu.
- Graduates will report to the Gibson Hall Gym (GIB). The GIB is located on Navarro
College-Corsicana Campus, 3200 West 7th Corsicana, Texas 75110. See Campus Map.
- Arrive one hour prior to the ceremony dressed in cap and gown.
- To ensure the safety and health of all attending, everyone will be required to wear
face covering as per the CDC guidelines, maintain proper social distancing, and keep
hands clean and sanitized.
- There will be no rehearsal, so your prompt arrival is absolutely essential.
- The ceremony is a distinguished event. Please dress tastefully, and keep in mind the
robe is knee-shin length. Slacks or knee-length skirts are appropriate.
- Gowns should be free of any markings or other modifications.
- Caps may not be decorated during the ceremonies.
- Wear comfortable shoes. You may be standing for long periods at a time.
- Students arriving late will be placed out of order to the end of the line. Please
contact the Registrar at (903) 875-7348 or email firstname.lastname@example.org by May 5th if you or any guests will need assistance with seating arrangements, the
procession or crossing the stage.
- Please leave all personal belongings (purses, jackets, cell phones, etc.) with your
guests prior to check-in. Navarro College will not be responsible for any personal

Doors open one hour before each ceremony. Doors will be locked 15 minutes prior to the ceremony beginning or prior to if capacity is met (at the determinations of Chief of Police.)
Commencement Ceremonies will be held at Navarro College, 3200 West 7thAvenue. Corsicana, Texas 75110 in the K and Ida Wolens Special Events Center (Gymnasium) (SEC). Please view Campus Map for locations and parking information.

|No Balloons and Noise Makers||
Graduates and their guests are requested to be respectful to all graduates and the college by attending the entire ceremony. To respect our families so they may see or hear their graduate; name, items such as horns, loud noise makers, balloons, confetti, and any other items that could impede one’s view or one’s hearing are not allowed in the gym.
