Navarro Football is a member of the NJCAA Division I, and plays in the tough Southwest Junior College Football Conference. The "Dawgs" have won 13 conference championships and won the National Championship in 1989. Since 1987, Navarro has been in 7 bowl games and 3 conference championship games. Over the years, Navarro football has been recognized as one of the top junior college programs, 13 All Americans since 1998, numerous All American Academic players as well as numerous All Conference All Academic players. In 2005, 8 division I players signed scholarships to play at the division I level. The 1989 National Championship Team was inducted to the National Junior College Football Hall of Fame in the Spring of 2006.
