Legacy 2019
March 2, 2019 | 6:00 pm

The Navarro College Foundation is pleased to announce that Miss Texas 2018, Madison Fuller will headline Legacy’s “A New Voice” Scholarship Benefit on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Groesbeck Convention Center. Proceeds from the event will provide student and faculty scholarships for the South Campus.

Ms. Fuller is a 24 year old graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Communications.  She is currently working on her master’s at Dallas Baptist University pursuing a degree in School Counseling. Her talent is Ventriloquist.   During her 12-month speaking tour, she will make more than 300 appearances and speak before over 100,000 people about the Texas Cares for Children Program, the Children’s Miracle Network and her personal platform “Sock it to Cancer:  Pediatric Cancer Awareness”.  Some interesting facts about Madison are:  she was Miss Texas Outstanding Teen 2010, she has helped raise more than $260,000 for the Wipe Out Cancer telethon, she is a third generation educator and she just completed her first year as a Kindergarten Teacher at Dr. Bryan Jack Elementary in Tyler, Texas.   Madison competed at Miss America in September and was a talent award recipient.

The Navarro College Foundation has awarded over $6,000 in scholarships to students living in Limestone, Freestone and Leon counties. Funds raised here are reserved for students in our tri-county service area. We use these precious funds judiciously and identify recipients who have no other means to attend Navarro College. In addition, a small portion of this year’s proceeds will fund the Teaching Innovation Award, where local college faculty compete for funds to provide an innovative teaching method, course redesign, or improved instructional strategy through the addition of classroom technology and/or equipment.

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for a cocktail reception and silent auction.

Please make plans to join us for a fun-filled evening of entertainment!  Bring a friend to enjoy a catered dinner by Leona Steakhouse, silent auction, and live performances from local talent.  YOU will determine the winner of “A New Voice”!
