Rusy Hitt attended Navarro College in 1985 and is the Chief Executive Officer of Community National Bank & Trust in Corsicana. He has nearly 25 years of banking experience. Dedicated to his community, he serves as a board member of the Navarro College Foundation. He has served in various other positions throughout the community, including the Corsicana Area Chamber of Commerce. He graduated from Texas State University and Southern Methodist University. 

 

Under his leadership, Community National Bank & Trust has become a corporate sponsor of the Navarro College Foundation and have contributed to many events including Dancing For Our Stars, Brilliance. Rusty assisted in expanding educational experiences for students by seeking funding through Community National Bank & Trust for hi-fidelity simulation labs in Health Care Professions as well as ESPORTS facilities.

About the Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor that Navarro College bestows upon an outstanding alum. The award acknowledges and recognizes the outstanding accomplishments and exemplarily achievements of Navarro College alumni whose personal lives, professional achievements, and community service exemplify the objectives of their alma mater.  The award recipients are chosen by the Distinguished Alumni Award Selection Committee consisting of members of the Navarro College Foundation Board of Directors, two Navarro College employees (active or retired) and the Executive Director of the Foundation.
