Scholarships are private monies that are made available to students from various local community groups, corporate donors, and the College. They are forms of gift aid that does not need to be repaid or earned through employment.
 
Backed by a supportive community and generous alumni and friends, Navarro College is able to offer students a variety of scholarships. Due to differing requirements, expectations, and award amounts, please contact the Navarro College Foundation for more specific information with regard to a particular scholarship. By signing and accepting a scholarship, you are entering into a contract. Make sure you understand your responsibilities before you sign your scholarship.

NAVARRO COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS (ONLINE)


HOW TO APPLY?
By filling out just one application, you will be considered for all Navarro College Foundation Scholarships and Navarro College Scholarships for which you qualify. Navarro College offers nearly 75 scholarships, which full-time and part-time students can apply for each year to help pay for tuition and textbooks. Scholarships are available for students in all majors, and vary in the amount awarded.
 
Please complete the FAFSA. It is highly recommended that all students applying for a scholarship complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) or the TAFSA (Texas Application for State Aid).
 
Go to navarrocollege.awardspring.com and click on “Sign In With Your School Account.” If you can not log in, you have not applied to NC or you have not waited the 24-48 hours after applying.
 
Contact the Contact Center if you have applied and received your acceptance email, but still can not log in.
 
REQUIREMENTS
To apply for NC Scholarships, students are required to:

  1. Complete the GoApplyTexas application and include Navarro College. Returning students do not need to re-apply.

  2. Allow 24-48 hours between the time you submit your GoApplyTexas application and the time you apply for a scholarship.

*Note: Students must reapply each academic year, beginning in January to be considered for any scholarships. To reapply, follow the instructions above

BRILLIANCE DUAL CREDIT SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships for Ellis County Dual Credit High School Students


The Brilliance Dual Credit Scholarship is for students attending an Ellis County High School and taking dual credit classes. The scholarship award is for Fall and Spring semesters only and will cover tuition and fees for one 3-hour credit class per semester. Books are not covered. The number of scholarships awarded is contingent upon available funds.

M.C. CASTON GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships for Outstanding Navarro College Students


The M.C. and Mattie General and Distinguished Scholarship application is for outstanding Navarro College students who meet specific academic and leadership criteria.  Both scholarships can be retained for two years, contingent upon the recipient’s meeting the established criteria.

M.C. CASTON GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships for Outstanding Navarro College Graduates


Navarro College offers a unique opportunity for students who are high-achieving graduates of Navarro College and transferring to a 4-year university. The M.C. and Mattie Graduate Caston Scholarship application is for outstanding Navarro College graduates who present definite plans for continuing his/her study at a four-year college or university. Selection is competitive and awards are presented annually at spring commencement activities. 

 

Caston Graduate Scholarship 2023-2024 Application (PDF)

 

To apply, students must have a current cumulative GPA of 3.7 or above; have completed all requirements for graduation for an associates degree by the end of the Spring 2023 semester; and completed a minimum of 40 hours at Navarro College.
 
Students who submitted applications for the M.C. and Mattie Caston Graduate Scholarship will be notified at a later date via email regarding a time and place for interviews for the scholarship. For scholarship inquiries, please send an email to the Scholarships Office.

 

 

SOUTH CAMPUS DUAL CREDIT SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships for Leon, Freestone, and Limestone County Dual Credit High School Students


The South Campus Dual Credit Scholarship is for students attending a Leon, Freestone, or Limestone County High School and taking dual credit classes. The scholarship award is for Fall and Spring semesters only and will cover tuition and fees for one 3-hour credit class per semester. Books are not covered. The number of scholarships awarded is contingent upon available funds.

OPENING DOORS TO SUCCESS SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships for First Generation and Economically Disadvantaged Students


This scholarship is for First Generation and Economically Disadvantaged High School Seniors who will be attending Navarro College starting the Fall of 2023.

WALTON INSPIRES SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarships for Minority High School Seniors


This scholarship is for High School Seniors of the following minority group who will be attending Navarro College after high school. The minority groups include African American, Native American, Hispanic/Latino, and Asian and Pacific Islanders. The scholarship is for one student for the Fall of 2023 and Fall of 2024 of $500 per semester. Students MUST be attending a high school in one of the following counties: Navarro, Ellis, Leon, Limestone, or Freestone.

Have you been awarded a scholarship through a source other than Navarro College or the Navarro College Foundation? Here’s what you need to do:
1. You will need to inform the Financial Aid Office of your award.
2. Scholarship checks should be made out to Navarro College
3. All scholarship checks should be mailed or delivered to the Financial Aid Office (Office of Student Financial Aid).
