Darion Walton
Serving as District Administrator for Dallas ISD, Professor of Business for Dallas
Colleges and CFO of Walton Inspires, Darion Walton understands the value of education.
Darion believes that exceptional educators naturally move toward leadership activities that help shape a positive school climate and benefit others. This belief has awarded him recognitions including Master Trainer in Educational Mobile Computing from MIT, Champion of Computer Science Education, Microsoft Innovative Educator, Educator of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction.
His business degrees equipped him with the skills needed to successfully design and deliver processes, programs, and communication strategies to allow departments to run more efficiently.
As a first-generation college student, Darion understands the need to continuously reinvent himself to adapt to this ever-changing society. He is a graduate of Dallas ISD Emerging Leaders Leadership Development Program and current Region 10 Coordinator for the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.
“My diverse upbringing, faith, education, and desire to impact students makes me a great asset to my field”. The relationships formed and leadership opportunities provided by Navarro College sparked the desire to dream big. Darion shows next-generation students that anyone can succeed when they apply themselves and rise above negative influences.
