Varion Walton
MBA, BSN, RN, LNFA
Serves as a Trauma Nurse at Houston Methodist Hospital. When not in the Emergency Department, Varion ‘s role as Nurse Supervisor for Regency Integrated Health Services offers him the opportunity to give back to the geriatric population.
His time at Navarro College taught him how to make opportunities. Varion says “Life has not always been smooth sailing. Scholarships don’t just fall from the sky, employment opportunities are not always handed to you, and diplomas do not magically appear on your wall. First, an opportunity must be made available, and often, you must be the initiator. You should be the one to reach out, to apply, to follow up. If you have a desire to do something, create the opportunity for yourself.”
A few of his accomplishments include National and State Certifications as a Registered Nurse and Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator. He is co-founder of Walton Inspires 501(c)(3), a non-profit organization created to provide professional, future-oriented, educational, technical, and career preparation skills to individuals from diverse backgrounds. Varion is also a member of the Emergency Nurse’s Association, National Association of Health Care Administrators, and American College of Health Care Executives.
