This page provides information and resources to support faculty in working with students who receive accommodations through the Office of Accessibility and Accommodations. Navarro College is committed to ensuring that no otherwise qualified individual with a disability is excluded from participation in, denied benefits of, or subjected to discrimination in any college program or activity. This applies to all credit and non-credit courses and activities sponsored by the college.

The Office of Accessibility and Accommodations is available to assist faculty in implementing accommodations and addressing questions related to student support. While accommodations may vary based on individual student needs and course requirements, support and guidance are available to ensure appropriate access for all students.

There is no single approach that works for every class or every student. Instructors are encouraged to:

  • Assess the individual class environment and needs

  • Consider the unique needs of students in the course

  • Plan instruction and assessment accordingly
