Dr. Don Capone, who is the Dean of the Petroleum Technology program and teaches astronomy classes, donated his 10-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain reflecting telescope to the Navarro College Waxahachie Campus today. This donation to the astronomy department will allow classes to increase observation in a more significant way than just optional visits once a semester to Dr. Capone’s personal observatory. The telescope will be placed in a climate-controlled area on campus with access for on demand observation. We are so appreciative of Dr. Capone and his generous gift!
