Medical Laboratory Technology Program Admission Requirements
Pre-Admission Process
- Admission to Navarro College
- High School or GED graduate
- Complete all three areas of the TSI exam as required by Navarro College
Note: Students are required to show proof of up-to-date immunizations (including Hepatitis B immunization) prior to clinicals. Students interested in any health care field are strongly recommended to begin the Hepatitis B immunization series.
Students interested in the Medical Laboratory Technology program must submit the MLT application to the program director with transcripts of completed courses.
Applicants are ranked for MLT admission based on the following: |
Texas Success Initiative (TSI) scores |
Completion of science and other courses on the degree plan |
Grades achieved in courses |
GPA |
Employment in a clinical laboratory |
Phlebotomy course completion |
FALL ADMISSION: Students are accepted into the MLT program during the fall semester.
SPRING ADMISSION: Students who have completed many of the general education courses may be admitted for the spring semester if space is available in the program.
ACCELERATED PROGRAM: Students who have completed many of the general education courses on the degree plan may be accelerated through the program.
PART-TIME PROGRAM: Students unable to attend full-time may be accommodated.
