Will I receive transfer credit for my courses at Navarro College?
Navarro College awards credit for most college-level dual credit courses completed at regionally accredited colleges or universities when the credit appears on an official transcript.
Some exceptions apply, including remedial or highly technical coursework, which may not transfer. Transfer credit acceptance may vary by institutions and degree program. General education courses are more likely to transfer than major-specific courses.
Students should consult academic departments before assuming credit will apply to a specific degree plan. The Transfer Equivalency Guide is available to help review how credits transfer.
Can you use my high school transcript to award college credit?
No. High school transcripts only show high school credit. Navarro College requires an official college transcript to verify college credit earned.
Am I required to submit all college transcripts?
Yes. All college coursework must be disclosed and submitted. Failure to provide transcripts may be considered falsification of records and could affect admission or enrollment eligibility.
What if I have taken Advanced Placement (AP) exams?
You may be eligible for college credit based on AP exam scores.
Students must request an official score report from The College Board and have it sent directly to the Office of Admissions. AP scores are typically received in mid-summer for graduating seniors.
For more information, visit the Advanced Placement (AP) credit page in the Navarro College Catalog.
