Independent Indoor Programs: Guard and Drumline
Through its competitive independent indoor programs, Navarro College gives both college and high school students the opportunity to compete in the North Texas Colorguard Association's Independent A category.
Independent Indoor Guard
The Navarro College Independent Guard (NCIG) program is open to both college and high school level students. You do not have to be a color guard member from marching season, but you must have at least one year of experience in color guard performance.
The NCIG color guard meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm-8pm, both the Fall and Spring semesters. This is a competitive organization and does compete at multiple competitions. During the 2017 season, the NCIG averaged an NTCA 3rd place rating.
If you are interested in joining the NCIG, please fill out the Navarro College Independent Indoor Guard form.
Independent Indoor Drumline
The Navarro College Independent Drumline (NCID) program is open to both college and high school level students. Several non-percussion students from multiple band programs participate in the indoor percussion program.
The NCID meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm-8pm in the Fall and Spring semester. The NCID is a competitive group and does travel to perform in the NTCA.
If you're interested in joining the NCID, please fill out the Navarro College Independent Indoor Drumline form.
