Department of Theatre
Navarro College has an ambitious Theatre department, and we’d love to meet you! We produce four shows a year, with two main stage shows and two second stage shows. We have two performance spaces: one is a proscenium stage that seats 400, and the other is a Black Box theatre that seats about 90. We perform in other venues, as well, including the Pearce Museum in the Cook Education Center, and we tour shows to various locations in Corsicana and in the surrounding areas.
Opportunities available to Navarro theatre students include acting, set design and construction, lighting design, costume design, properties design, makeup design, and sound design. We believe in practical hands-on experience at Navarro College, and there will be many opportunities for students to learn. We also have a generous Theatre scholarship program.
