Non-school groups can see the current public show or be assigned an astronomical presentation suitable for the age/grade level of the group in consultation with the planetarium director.

      THE STARS OVER TEXAS

      Grades: K - 4
      Length: 45 minutes - 1 hour
The stars at night are always big and bright inside our Texas planetarium!  In this program, your presenter will show you the stars and constellations of the current season, tell a few star stories, talk about moon phases and eclipses, and take you on a tour of the five visible planets.  The content of this program is adjusted to fit the age/grade level of the attending group.

      THE PLANETS

      Grades: 5 - 6
      Length: 45 minutes - 1 hour
Take a tour of the solar system including stops at the sun, planets, and many of their moons.  See exotic atmospheres, strange surfaces, and gain a new appreciation for our home planet. This program also includes a look at some exoplanet discoveries in our galaxy as well as a tour of the current night sky.

      THE UNIVERSE

      Grades: 7 - 8
      Length: 45 minutes - 1 hour
Telescopes make an astonishing array of discoveries from nearby objects in the solar system to the most distant galaxies at the limits of the observable universe. This program, which also includes a look at the current night sky, shows you spectacular images of stars, clusters, nebulae, and galaxies woven into an engaging story of cosmic exploration.
