Frequently Asked Questions about the ADN Program
Where is the LVN-RN Bridge program offered?
The LVN-RN Bridge program is offered on the Corsicana and Waxahachie campuses.
How can I take the TEAS entrance test?
Call the Navarro College Testing Center at (903) 875-7457 or (972) 923-6429. It is also available online at http://www.atitesting.com or any other official testing site.
May I apply before taking all the pre-requisities?
No. All pre-requisities must be completed before submitting application.
How many points do I need to be admitted to the ADN program?
The majority of ranking points are earned from scores on the TEAS test. To qualify for admission, the ADN program requires an overall GPA of 2.0 on all pre-requisite courses. Additional ranking points may be earned for the following:
-
Number of non-RNSG courses on the ADN degree plan that have been completed with a C or better
-
TSI complete
-
Military service
-
Current healthcare certification (Medical Assistant, Nurse Aide, EMT, Paramedic, RT, Med Aide, Patient Care Tech or Scrub Tech)
-
Courses toward the BSN degree completed with C or better HIST 1301/2301, MATH 1314/1342, ENGL 1302/2311, CHEM 1411, GOVT 2305/2306.
Once all points have been determined, students will be ranked from highest to lowest.
Is there an expiration date on my science courses?
No. Starting with the 2024 application year, it is no longer required.
Can I still work while attending the program?
It is not recommended that students work while attending the ADN Program. The schedule often requires students to attend class and/or clinical rotations throughout the week. Clinical rotations may also be scheduled on weekends, nights, and/or weekends.
