      First-Time College Student Applicants

      1. SELECT YOUR MAJOR

      Take an even closer look at Navarro by exploring our Degrees & Majors. We offer degrees that prepare students to transfer to four-year universities plus degrees and certificates that provide students with the right set of skills and knowledge for a specific job or occupation. Our programs are led by professors from different disciplines who are dedicated to teaching and committed to our students’ success.

      3. APPLY TO NC

      We encourage students to apply online at ApplyTexas since it speeds up your admission process dramatically

      Note: Proof of Residency
      In Texas, a student enrolling in an institution of higher education, must have lived in Texas the one year (12 months) proceeding the first date of enrollment to be classified a Texas resident for tuition purpose. If you have attended school or resided out-of-state, additional proof of residency may be required, and the Office of Admissions and Records reserves the right to determine the validity of documents submitted.

       

      4. APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS

      Use code 003593 when applying for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through www.fafsa.gov to have your information sent to Navarro College. You will receive a letter with your financial aid awards and further instructions.

      Priority deadlines* to apply for financial aid:

      • Fall semester: June 1
      • Spring semester: October 15
      • Summer terms: March 1

      *Submitting financial aid documents by the priority deadline reduces the chances of delays in the processing and awarding of financial aid.

      We encourage all students to apply for scholarships. Most scholarships are awarded based upon ACT/SAT scores, grades, declared major, talent, leadership, ambition, and in many cases, financial need. Any one of these could qualify you for one of several different award programs at NC! Find out how and when to apply for Scholarships.

      5. SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS, TEST SCORES, AND OTHER DOCUMENTS

      An official transcript of the applicant’s high school record must be filed in the Office of Admissions & Records before an application for admission will be considered.

      A sealed official, final high school and/or college transcript(s) should be sent directly to:

      Corsicana, TX 75110

      Students must take a state-approved placement test and submit test scores at the time of registration. Students otherwise qualified will not be refused admission on the basis of their scores. These results are used in advising and placing students in proper sections of certain course areas. Tests are given at each campus Testing Center by appointment. A photo ID is required and students must complete the Pre-Assessment Activity (PAA) prior to taking the TSI Assessment for the first time.

      All first-time students attending Navarro College, including transfer students as well as students who are not continuously enrolled in fall or spring semesters since Fall 2011, will be required to show evidence of vaccination against bacterial meningitis. Evidence of the student having received the vaccination from an appropriate health practitioner within the past five years must be received in the Navarro College Admissions and Records Office at least ten days prior to the student’s first day in class.

      6. APPLY FOR ON-CAMPUS HOUSING (Optional)

      If you’ll be attending NC at Corsicana, you’ll need to figure out where to live. If you’d like to live on campus, start by submitting your housing application.
