Important Housing Calendar Dates and Breaks

Planning ahead and want to know when the residence halls open and close for Fall 2026? Check out the dates below and keep these dates in mind when scheduling your travel.  All dates are based on the academic calendar and are subject to change.

The dates below have been updated to reflect the 2026-2027 academic year calendar.

 

 Fall 2026

August 20 -21, 2026

Fall 2026 Housing check-in begins.

Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

August 25, 2026

Housing Mandatory Meeting
Location: Special Events Center (SEC) GYM 

  • Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Females

  • Time: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM - Males

  • All residents - Please bring Student Identification card to scan! (Failure to attend the meeting will result in a $25 fine)

November 24, 2026

Housing closes by 5:00 PM for Thanksgiving break

  • Any resident not approved to stay over Thanksgiving break will need to leave by 5:00 PM.

  • Non-approved fee: $35 per day 

November 29, 2026

Housing reopens by 2:00 PM 

Housing residents can return to campus after 2:00 PM.

December 2, 2026

Deadline: "Are you returning or not?" form must be completed by December 2, 2026 by 5:00 PM.

  • All residents must complete the "Are you returning or not? form.

  • Deadline: December 2, 2026

December 5, 2026 - December 11, 2026

  • Housing check-out starts.

  • By appointments, housing will email a link

Residents are required to check out of Housing within 24 hours after the last final exam.

 

 Spring 2027

Housing reopens at 2:00 PM.

March 26 - March 28, 2027

Good Friday - College closed

Dining Hall will be closed during this time.

May 5 - May 11, 2027

Housing check-out begins.

Residents are required to check out of Housing by 5:00 PM on the day of their last exam.

  • Housing check-in.

  • Housing opens for Summer II (Summer 2nd 6-week)

Housing opens for Summer II check-in.

August 13, 2026

  • Housing check-out.

  • Housing closes for Summer II (Summer 2nd 6-week)

Residence Life / Housing closes by 4:00 PM.

 

New! 2026-2027 Campus Closure Dates

All residence halls and dining facilities will be closed to students during the following periods:

  • Thanksgiving Break: November 24, 2026 - November 29, 2026

  • Winter Break: December 18, 2026- January 13, 2027

  • Spring Break: March 12, 2027 - March 21, 2027

  • and other designated periods when school is not in session.
