Solar Eclipse 2024
THE GREAT TEXAS SOLAR ECLIPSE - APRIL 8, 2024
On Monday April 8th, 2024, residents of the USA will be able to view a total solar eclipse (similar to the one that occurred in 2017). This time, the track of the eclipse goes diagonally across Texas beginning in the Rio Grande valley and ending in the northeast corner of the state (then proceeding towards the northeastern states).
TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE EVENT @ THE PLANETARIUM
Navarro College’s Planetarium - located within the Cook Education Center - will present an expanded schedule of presentations during the weeks leading up to the event as well as play host to a total solar eclipse event on April 8, 2024. We’ll have solar eclipse glasses for sale (free solar viewers will be available for Navarro College students, faculty, and staff while supplies last), solar viewing stations setup, a special presentation inside our planetarium, and much more. Please stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the event.
